Texas Hunting for Wounded & Disabled Veterans

Each December, San Angelo Support for Veterans hosts wounded & disabled veterans for an all expenses paid white tail deer hunting experience at some of the best hunting ranches in West Texas. The hunt serves as a way for us to say thank you and to connect veterans who have shared similar experiences in the military and make connections that could provide support in the future.

How to Become A Hunter

If you are interested in applying to become a hunter, please fill out the form on the link below to complete and submit your application for review. Please note that the San Angelo newspaper wants to do a write-up on each hunter, basic contact info is required, but for the bio section you should only give information that you feel comfortable providing.

If you are selected as a hunter, you will be treated to an all expenses paid West Texas hunting experience including flights, lodging, food, outfitting, and taxidermy. We will reach out to you by phone or email to notify you if you have been selected to participate.

About SASFV

San Angelo Support for Veterans, Inc. (SASFV) is a 501c3 non-profit organization that has had the privledge of supporting veterans since 2006. Annually we host 10-15 veterans at area ranches for a week of hunting, good ole Texas food and fellowship. This event is held the first part of December and is made possible by the volunteer ranches, generous donations of our supporters and countless volunteers.
